The Way Back’s mission is to provide professional behavioral healthcare services that heal the lives of individuals and families, improving the quality of life in communities through recovery from substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
The primary purpose of The Way Back, Inc. is to provide participants with the means to develop an individualized program for attaining and maintaining recovery, as well as support efforts to reduce the negative impacts of substance abuse. The Way Back will offer a safe environment to help participants re-evaluate goals and reawaken lost dreams.
The Way Back Inc. will provide alcohol and drug services for all individuals who meet admission criteria. Our target population is men over the age of 18 with a DSM-5 SUD diagnosis and an ASAM assessment that indicates the need for residential services. The Way Back accepts referrals from all agencies, organizations, self-help groups, and individuals within the San Diego County area. Using the “no wrong door” policy, we will facilitate a referral to another facility when we are at capacity, or a prospective participant assesses at a level of care we do not offer.
